Darn Tough Vermont Women's Merino Wool No-Show Ultra-Light Cushion Athletic Socks, White/Fuchsia, Medium Review

I'll be really brief with my review and just do pro's vs. con's. I run about 30 miles a week, so I go through socks quickly.

Pro's:

1) The tabs at the top help the sock stay in place (though I just tried it on around the house).

Con's:

1) The ad says "fuchsia" and white, however, the color is actually red and white

2) I bought a size 7.5-9.5. I wear a size 8. This sock was definitely a 9.5 IMO

3) The ad states "light padding". I'm not sure if the company knows the difference between "light" and "none" because there is a huge difference. "Light" means some padding in the balls of the feet and heal. This sock is VERY thin--everywhere; hence, no padding in any area

4) No arch support

5) Absolutely over-rated and WAY over-priced (these are no better than Hanes or No Nonsense running socks--trust me on this). I'll go back to my Thorlo Experia's despite the fact that I have to baby them to stay intact (HINT: If you own Thorlo's here's some tips to keeping them for the long haul. When you wash them--turn them inside out so the threads don't start to fray. Next, wash on GENTLE cycle with a very mild detergent. Afterwards, allow them to AIR DRY. Thorlo's are expensive, too, but worth it if you take care of them!).
