Before I start let me mention that I work primarily outdoors eight hours a day at a car dealership no matter how cold it is or how much snow is on the ground. I constantly have to write on paper work and fish things out of my pockets. I also have to use a computer numerous times a day, located in a not always warm building. Finding the right pair of gloves, is critical.

If you are looking for a pair of gloves that keep you warm and do no limit finger mobility, these are perfect. You still might fat finger things on a keyboard while wearing them, but you can chicken-peck your way around the keyboard for shorter work pretty easily. Although most winter gloves will make writing, and other small tasks a little harder this one proves to limit the difficulty more than any pair I've owned. They have extra grip on the inside of the gloves to limit that. Under Armour is missing a huge selling point not showing the other side of the gloves in the photo, because it was a huge selling point to me.

The pockets on the top of these gloves are helpful as well. We have to use a proximity card (the size of a credit card) constantly and this fits perfectly inside of it so I don't have to keep digging it out.

All positives aside, know that these are NOT WATERPROOF, and they should never claim to be. The soft fleece-like material on the outside of the glove should make that pretty obvious. They have proven to be resist water (I've pelted a few co-workers with snowballs and brushed snow off of cars with them) but I certainly wouldn't wear them in the rain or a huge snow storm. These do not soak up water like most fleece-like gloves which is a huge bonus, but they don't seem like will hold up on a really wet day.

I'll be testing them out when I have the fortune of our first big snow storm and update that on here, but odds are good I'll be putting on a different pair for the water resistance.

12/27/10 Update

Had a single digit temperature day this morning and I'm sad to say they did not keep my hands warm for very long. Still very pleased, but for extended periods in the cold they don't work well below fifteen degrees.

I also had the misfortune of dropping one of the gloves in our parking lot. It sat on top of a pile of snow and may have been ran over a time or two. When I found it a few hours later it was soaked to the bone. Certainly not normal conditions, but the fact that the water permeated throughout the entire glove on a day there was no new snow demonstrates these are not good gloves for really wet conditions.
