INITIAL IMPRESSION:
I'm a 6 foot, 230 lb, 31 year old male occupying a tiny apartment. I value customer reviews, and was disappointed this product didn't have any. I waited for it to reach $99 on woot.com and decided to take the plunge. I was concerned about quality, especially considering I am approaching its maximum weight, and height, limit. It took me about 45 minutes to unpack, assemble, and cleanup. Assembly was easier than the first page of the instruction booklet would suggest as it depicts the bike completely disassembled. In reality, however, the bike is mostly assembled and one only needs to perform the finishing touches, depicted on the second page of the instructions. The quality of the assembled item is higher than I would have expected for the price. It comfortably, and confidently, holds my weight, and could probably support a rider a couple inches taller than me. I am very happy with this item for the price. Because of its magnetic resistance, it is virtually silent, which is great for watching TV while squeezing in some exercise, or for those of us in apartment complexes with thin walls. My only complaint is that the maximum resistance is a little weak and I have trouble reaching my target heart rate.

AFTER A FEW WEEKS OF OWNERSHIP:
After my first 30 minute session, I noticed the knob that secures the seat seemed to be a little looser than when I started. I've since checked it after each session since, and have not experienced a recurrence of this issue. The batteries that were included with this item lost their charge much more quickly than I expected. They only lasted for about five 30 minute sessions. I need a few more weeks to determine if this is because the batteries were of low quality, my initial assumption, or if this bike really does eat batteries. Regardless, this isn't much of an issue for me, as I've swapped all of my battery needs to rechargeable 10 years ago, I've always got charged batteries on hand. But for those of you that don't this might be an issue. As far as the target heart rate and maximum resistance, I've simply motivated myself to peddle faster. ;-) Even so, I still struggle to maintain a heart rate at the lower end of my target.
