I ordered these because the picture made them look about the size I am used to using at the health club, which are a great size for a smaller aqua jog bell. These are however, much smaller than that (and therefore much less resistance - just about none). My health club also tried to buy these thinking they were the same as what they had, and had to return them.
I attempted to return them too, but the restocking fee and the return shipping cost would have made that a pointless exercise.
I would have given it 2 stars because they might be fine for someone wanting almost no resistance, but took one away for the restocking fee.
If these type of items (with % resistance) were consistent across different brands, it might make it easier to buy them online.

I've run in Nike shoes for the past couple of decades and the Air Max has been my top preference for years. It was time for a new pair and I bought these online in my usual size 7 in mango. Sadly, they resemble cheaply made over-sized clown shoes. I could live with the hideous color and look of the shoe if they fit right and had decent support, but they don't. The shoe consists of cheaply made plastic lowers with flimsy mesh uppers, yet the shoe feels heavy, clumsy, and bulky. I've always taken a size 7 in Nike but these are not true to size--lots of extra room in the toe box that would only work right if you have pointy little tippy toes. It's not surprising that this Air Max+ 2012 ranks poorly on durability. I bought them directly from Nike.com, which promises free returns if you register on the Nike site. But I've already spent over an hour on the phone trying to get the prepaid return shipping label but still haven't received it because they claim that the system isn't working right. I read some reviews on other sites stating that the air deflates from the sole area rendering this shoe useless for running after only a short period--again not surprising when you see how cheaply made this shoe looks and feels. Nike just isn't the quality brand it used to be.

2XU Men's Compression Long Sleeve Top (White/White, XX-Large) Review

Short Answer: It's nice. It works as advertised. I recommend it.

Longer Answer: I bought the Men's Large PWX Compression Top Long Sleeve in Black/Steel. This was the second piece of compression gear that I purchased. I bought my first piece at my local running store, a new business. My local running store did not carry the compression tops at all. While I was waiting for the replacement tights to arrive at the store (I needed the Tall version), I decided to buy this top here online at Amazon to avoid that wait. I had gone to the gym the week before and was using some different weight training equipment for the first time, and maybe a little too enthusiastically, so my arms, upper back, shoulders and chest were still a bit sore from the effort. As with the tights, once you have the compression gear on your skin surface immediately starts to feel cool, especially when you walk around the house and the air is moving around you; it's slightly less noticeable when you are sitting still.

The X-Form model of the 2XU tights are suitable for active use, and post activity recovery, or both. So now that I had a complete set I decided to try wearing them during a race, and not just post run. I ran in the inaugural San Jose 408K Race to the Row 8K race on March 11, 2012 (Google it, external links are discouraged), and I believe the 2XU gear helped keep my muscles stable. The top definitely felt like it was encouraging a more upright posture so I wasn't bending over or sagging during the run, or after. I had noticed during recent training runs that my forearms and hands were cramping a bit from trying to keep them in a flat bladed position. The shirt helped minimize that. The seams are flat and did not cause me any discomfort during my races.

I use a Garmin FR305 watch during my runs, and the Garmin HRM, the older model with the wide rubber/plastic piece across the sternum. During the 408K I ran with the HRM -over- my compression top, and it kept sliding and shifting. I decided I would wear it -under- my 2XU shirt during the Modesto (Half) Marathon I ran in the following week. This time the HRM buckle actually dug into my left side ribs, which I didn't notice during the run. Make sure to use Body Glide, or some similar product between your skin and the HRM's buckles, or other rigid bits that might chafe the skin deeply.

One caveat: Since I am still a bit soft in the middle I decided to wear a running shirt and vest over the 2XU shirt during my running events so my love handles are covered.

Another commenter on Amazon recommended washing the 2XU gear inside out, so the design is on the inside, and then hanging it to dry right side out; otherwise, the design will stick to itself and start tearing off. I agree with that recommendation: I tried it just the other day and everything turned out fine. I think I used the regular setting, but you may want to use the "gentle" cycle, or just was them in the sink by hand, if you are concerned about damaging the design.

OK, first you had better already know how to keep a hoop swinging around your waist - or you'd better start with their first DVD. I'm pretty good at hooping on the waist, arm and neck - but this was very challenging! If I learn this I can really impress my friends and family :)
The main girl (Rayna) is very, very excellent! She moves like a cat- so graceful! I wish I was THAT good. I hope one day to learn all of these techniques. It really is a very awesome DVD. They do show you trouble-shooting steps - although it looks easy, it's not - but that's why you're buying the DVD... to learn and get an awesome workout. I went to their website and I think the hoops are WAY over priced - and most all were sold out. I'd like to see their hoop prices drop and see more hoops sold and not "sold out" on their website. Hoops shouldn't cost $50 - it's a HOOP made of plastic - so come on - sell some quality hoops for way less!
